Michigan Green Communities (MGC) and the Great Lakes Climate Adaptation Network (GLCAN): Building Collaborative Urban Networks

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

This working group session is targeted toward local governments. The Great Lakes Climate Adaptation Network (GLCAN) is a regional network of local government staff and partners who actively work together to identify and act on the unique climate adaptation challenges of the Great Lakes region. Michigan Green Communities (MGC) is a statewide network of local government and university staff that collaborate with one another, through peer learning and information sharing, to promote innovative solutions and move sustainability initiatives forward at the local, regional, and state level. MGC is launching a Climate Resource Team that will serve as a working group for local governments to come together to share information, troubleshoot problems, and collaboratively plan implementation steps.

This working group session will directly address forum themes (enhancing resiliency, adaptation strategies, indicators, and monitoring, and linking climate research and practice). The objective of this session would be to help participants outline action steps to start or further climate and energy planning in their community.
