Ferguson, since 2014, has worked with the Climate and Health Adaptation Program to build state-wide public health capacity for responding to the health impacts from climate change. He has also worked with local and state governments, universities, and non-profit organizations in the areas of sustainability planning, climate resiliency, and environmental policy. He holds a master's degree in public administration focusing on policy and planning and a bachelor’s degree in natural resource management with a minor in economics.
